Susan Mellichamp Receives Board Member of the Year

Mount Pleasant, Waterworks’ Commissioner Susan Mellichamp was selected by the South Carolina Rural Water Association (SCRWA) as the 2007 Board /Commissioner Member of the Year. The award recognizes Mrs. Mellichamp for her exceptional abilities and service to her community as a former Mount Pleasant Waterworks employee and as an elected Commissioner.

Mrs. Mellichamp was elected to the Board of Commissioners of Mount Pleasant Waterworks (MPW) in September 2004 following her retirement in 2003 as Administrative Services Manager for MPW after 25 years of outstanding job performance.

Her career exemplifies the commitment and passion of an outstanding public servant. The award was also given based on her commitment to the environment and work in protecting our most precious resource, “clean water”.
