Mount Pleasant Waterworks (MPW) is happy to announce the annual poster contest for 2008. This year's theme is Every Drop Counts. Water is an important part of protecting our environment and the poster contest inspires school children to think about their drinking water.

The contest is open to all students (public, private or home schooled) in all grades. The age categories are: K-3, 4-7 and 8-12. Entries will be judged on use of theme, creativity and overall presentation and winners are awarded a cash prize. The deadline is Friday, March 28, 2008. All posters should be turned into the MPW Operations Center at 1619 Rifle Range Road.

Posters will be reviewed by a panel of judges from the community and will be displayed at the MPW Operations Center. Poster Contest Winners will be asked to attend the April Commission meeting to receive their awards. The winners will also be featured in the Moultrie News during Drinking Water Week May 4-10, 2008. Prizes are $100 for First Place, $75 for Second Place, and $50 for Third Place.
