Mrs. Mellichamp was elected in September 2004. Over the course of a quarter century of service with Mount Pleasant Waterworks, she had first hand experience managing people and projects. She also served as Chairperson of the Customer Service/Public Information Committee for the South Carolina Section of the American Water Works Association, is a graduate of Leadership Charleston, a past member of the East Cooper Chamber of Commerce, and the Moultrie Constituent School Board. She continues to serve as an Elder and Sunday School teacher at the Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Mellichamp's term expires in 2010.
