Mount Pleasant Waterworks (MPW) has been selected to receive Excellence in Management Recognition from the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA), Washington, DC.

The Excellence in Management Recognition Program recognizes public wastewater utilities that have successfully implemented progressive management initiative that address the wide range of management challenges facing the clean water community.

MPW was selected for this honor for its significant efforts over the past years. Programs including development and on-going implementation of a long term facility plan, optimization of operation and maintenance practices, and asset management were cited as successful management initiatives. Other noteworthy programs included human resources initiatives in leadership and succession planning and efficiency initiatives in resource conservation activities.
