Advisory is Precautionary as Officials Complete Water Testing
Cooper’s Landing, Cooper’s Point, and Landings Run residents near Whipple Road are advised to boil water for drinking purposes for the next 24 hours in response to potential water contamination from a water main break that caused system pressure to drop.
A contractor working in the vicinity of Whipple Road and the Snee Farm entrance hit an eight inch water main. It was necessary to turn the water service off to these residents as repairs were made.
The advisory is precautionary as we continue to test the drinking water for potential contaminants. You will receive a Repeal of the Boil Water Advisory when testing is complete and the water considered safe to drink without boiling.
Resident are welcome to use the free drinking water dispensing stations located at:
Reverse Osmosis Plant 2 Seventh Avenue (off Mathis Ferry Road)
Reverse Osmosis Plant 3 Labor Camp Road (off Venning Road)
